Listed below under "Star mag" is the combnined magnitude of the light fron BOTH the star and asteroid.

As the Mag-Drop drop becomes smaller the difference between the Star Mag and the Combined Mag becomes greater. For instance a mag drop of 1.5 magnitudes, the combined magnitude (when the star and asteroid imgages merge) is actually 0.3 mag. brighter than the star alone. When you approach a Mag-Drop of 0.5 the combined magnitude is around 1 full magnitude brighter! than the star alone.
